AGARTALA, May 11 (TIWN): Clash among N C Debbarma & Budhu Debbarma's group has created much tension among the IPFT members. Reportedly, in a clash 6 persons were seriously injured named : Prabir Kalai, Subodh Debbarma, Aghore Debbarma, Budhu Debbarma, Mongolia Debbarma on Thursday at Lefunga. As per schedule Budhu Debbarma, Rajeswar Debbarm led IPFT was in a meeting at Lefunga Community Hall, when NC Debbarma's team all of a sudden entered the community hall and injured them with sharp things including 'Da'. Presently 6 persons are admitted in GB Hospital but Prabir Kalai's condition is serious, TIWN reported from GB Hospital. On April 16 the divided IPFT conducted a meeting at Agartala Press Club, which meeting was confined with new group of IPFT led by Aghore Debbarma, who suspended N C Debbarma for 6 months for his anti-party activities. It should be mentioned here that IPFT has now 2 teams, both claim themselves as IPFT leaders and also a case is going on at High Court regarding which group IPFT's ownership.
But the ultimate decision is on High Court’s verdict which will decide the party actually belong to whom.
On Wednesday also a press meet Budhu Debbarma on Wednesday said that the party is going for state conference on 24 and 25th June at Agartala.
Apart from that Budhu-Ranjeswar led IPFT converted "Twipraland" name into "Tipraha"" and it was on Thursday when IPFT members in Budhu Debbarma's party were in a conference at Lefunga Community Hall, suddenly the N C Debbarma's group attacked upon them, alleged Budhu Debbarma's group.
In this turmoil, many political observers seeing CPI-M's hidden hand to create unrest in ADC areas ahead of 2018 Assembly Polls as Budhu Debbarma basically voiced against CPI-M on Wednesday's press meet.
