AGARTALA, May 6 (TIWN): BJP National President Amit Shah on Saturday has received a grand welcome at Agartala Airport amidst thousands of saffron flags, 'Bharat Mata Ki Joy Slogan' and massive rallies. Shah arrived at Agartala Airport at around 12. 15 PM but BJP supporters were eagerly waiting for Shah since 8 AM after one week long preparation. Amitbhai Anilchandra "Amit" Shah is an Indian politician from Gujarat and the current President of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Shah was elected as an MLA from Sarkhej in four consecutive elections: 1997, 1998, 2002 and 2007.On the background of Shah's visit Tripura BJP State Observer announced 'Tripura is the 1st target of Central BJP Committee among all NE states and BJP's confidence is 100 % to come independently in power here'. "Amit Shah's arrival in Tripura in an attempt to strengthen BJP's power in state and on May 7th last evening flight Shah will left state. But Shah's visit will fully focused on party meeting and crucial decisions which will be taken ahead of Assembly Election-2018."Among all the NE states, Tripura is the first target of BJP. This is the only state, where BJP can easily come independently".
"At Nagaland and Meghalaya BJP is all in on, but Tripura is exceptional. Here it doesn't need any kind of help from other parties", Deodhar added."BJP's goal is to wipe out CPI-M from Tripura in 2018", Deodhar said.
However various national level leaders also have arrived in state since Saturday morning as Rajastan MP Bhupendra Yadav, West Bengal leader Rahul Sinha and others including Sunil Deodhar who is already present here.
On May 7 (Sunday) a massive rally will be organized at Kumarghat centering Amit Shah's arrival.
