Clash of views hits 10,323 teachers' unity : By Law or by Protest ? Crucial decisions to be taken by 10,323 teachers

AGARTALA, May 2 (TIWN): Clash of views among 10,323 teachers' were reported recently regarding 'what to do next' in attempt to get back their livelihoods. A source said that the 10,323 teachers committee is fully non-political committee and their target is to fight for their rights, but a certain ideological believers specially party backed teachers are clashing with each other and failed to equalize their points. In the meeting held at Matangini Pritilata Hall, with teachers who lost their jobs in a verdict at Supreme Court mentioned that whereas this meeting was pre-decided but one member named Bimal Saha published an notification in a daily newspaper that the meeting has been cancelled, due to which a less number of participants were followed there. Bimal Saha was the President of earlier committee when 10,323 teachers lost their jobs in High Court but on Tuesday the rest of the teachers expressed shock to activity done by Bimal Saha. On the other hand, Bimal Saha wants to file against the State Govt, for which the other teachers are yet unready. Bimal Saha also have number of supporters who are ready to file case against State Govt under 'All Tripura Govt 10,323 Regular & Fixed Pay Teachers Association', said a source.

 On the other hand the new committee which has been formed on Tuesday will take the crucial decisions about what to do as presently getting a livelihood is their aim.

It's worthy to mention here that Tripura Govt’s biggest face loss caused due to Chief Minister’s arrogance in accepting Tripura High Court’s May 7, 2014 verdict in cancelling 10323 illegally appointed teacher jobs.SC divisional bench chaired by Justice Adharsha Kumar Goel and Uday Umesh Lalit heard a petition filed by advocate Salman Khurshid. Supreme Court ordered for further TET Examination within 31st December, 2017 for all the teachers who lost their jobs.

Supreme Court in a humanaitarian gesture to 10323 teachers mentioned that the teachers will continue their jobs till 2017, 31st Dec. But the recruitment process must be started within May 31st and to be completed within Dec 31st, Law Secretary Datamohon Jamatia said. However, DataMohan also mentioned that state govt will reappeal  to the Central Govt for them who have not completed B.Ed degrees.
