AGARTALA, April 26 (TIWN): CPI-M Govt’s massive embezzlements in every Central schemes from MGNREGA, NHM, RMSA, PMAY and lack of proper utilization certificates brought Manik Sarkar Govt under scanner. Once again it was Union IT Minister Prem Prakash Chaudhury reminded that the Central Govt is much concerned about the proper utilization of Central funds here in Tripura. Addressing the media persons at BJP Krishnanagar Office, Chadhury said, “After Modi Govt came in power multiple national highways were sanctioned for connectivity development. When PM Modi himself visited Tripura, the state had meter gauge and the work was going utter slow. Then PM Modi promised to complete it in 2 yrs and successfully the work was completed in due time. But various works under state govt are pending and we are much worried about the proper utilization of Central funds here in Tripura”. ‘Earlier the fund was 80 : 20, now it has 90 : 10. But seeing the condition of tribals & poor, it’s really suspicious now whether proper utilization of funds happens or not’, said the Minister. However, this is not the 1st Central Minister to raise question on fund-utilization, earlier in March 19, Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Radha Mohan Singh was disappointed after surveying Tripura agricultural arrangement and production, raising complains about improper utilization with Central funds. The Minister said, “Tripura’s 73 % people are residing over rural areas, where 60 % are living in ADC areas.

But the condition of irrigation arrangement for farmers are pathetic. Only 42% of agricultural fields are under proper irrigation process, whereas nation-wide the percentage is 55 %”.

Tripura missed Rs. 6000 crores project for Ayurvedic Hospital and Health Service Development after the state govt failed to send any audit report to the Centre, said Union Minister for State AYUSH Shripad  Naik said on March 1st.

Like this the continuous allegation from the centre was being raised including MGNREGA corruptions, but the state govt has kept on rejecting all the blames, when it interacted with media.
