AGARTALA, March 26 (TIWN): As soon as the house construction began under PMAY project, the brick was has allegedly hiked, which is affecting the budget of house construction of poor.

Along with chips, rod, sands all items' prices have been increased all of sudden.  On the other hand labour budgets are also increasing at a stress.

On the other hand Pradhan Mantri Awash Yojna (PMAY) scheme under Left front backed Municipal Corporations in Tripura are yet to benefit the beneficiaries in building pakka-houses. The fund sanctioning issue is delaying the project’s proper implementation by Corporation and allegedly with various intrigues the rights of beneficiaries are putting under doubt. But behind the failure of Municipality to implement the scheme properly in Tripura, CPI-M govt is blueprinting to hit the BJP led Central Govt in coming days.

Reportedly, eventhough the public was quite happy here with PMAY scheme’s announcement. But now it’s becoming complicated rather than easy benefits. But now doubt remains about the completion of the houses and doubt remains whether the pakka rooms will be completed or not.

It was said that in 4 parts the beneficiaries will get Rs. 1 lakh 66 thousand in hand. Rest 1 lakhs will be given by the beneficiary himself / herself. But under Kailashahar Municipality out of 2095 beneficiaries 1500 beneficiaries are economically helpless, which may cause massive loss to them. Now question raises, why Tripura Municipality selected their names who can not afford the money for Pakka-Houses?

However, Municipality is planning to dump all the blames upon the Central Govt.

Many people have already broken their homes and living in temporary rooms. As per Kailashahar Municipality’s sanctioned letter the rooms can not be completed  with this amount of money. Foundation label 10 inch. Wall 5 inch and rod is to be used atleast 10 mm. But now more 50/ 60 thousands of shortage is there for many families, which they can not afford. The slow going works are also a cause of the problem reached as in dry season the work was almost paused.

For foundation label 33,300 rupees has been given. After the pictures will be sent more Rs. 50,000 will be sanctioned and in last part more 33 thousand will be sanctioned.

Moreover, Municipality is spreading rumours that the last 2 installments no money will be received. In this condition the beneficiaries are under heavy trouble and tension confusions have gripped them.
