AGARTALA, March 15 (TIWN): Even after 90 : 10 fund sharing, Tripura Govt has not implemented 'Agricultural Technology Management Agency' (ATMA) which has generated much resentment among the unemployed passed out youths under of Agriculture Dept. But if the Govt implement ATMA then many unemployed youths may get job as ateast 200 posts have left vacant under ATMA project. There are various posts as BTM, ATM, Gender, Co-ordinator, Dy Project Director etc.
Not only sufficient funds were provided to the state govt for filling up the vacant posts, but from Central Ministry Tripura Govt was given a litter also.
But till day no action has been taken about this. The unemployed youths also wrote a letter to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and after that PMO Office ordered state govt to fill up the posts. But the letter was sent on Dec 6 and long 3 months have passed, no action has been taken.
It's worthy to mention here that in a press meet 'Tripura Unemployed Agricultural and Horticultural Graduates Association youths told media that since years and years the Agriculture and Horticulture graduates are appealing state govt to fill up various vacant posts, but there is no initiative from the state govt to fill up those vacancies. Reportedly, TAFS Gr-l (In Direct Recruitment post 283 Agri-Officer Posts are there, but only 144 officials are working. The vacant posts' number is : 239.
As per the data given by Tripura Govt in the Assembly, till 31st August 2016 total 285 graduates and 76 post-graduates in total 361 unemployed were reported in state. But the total unemployed who had appealed in TPSC it was more than 550.
The unemployed youths also claimed that in last 6 years no recruitment was done in Agriculture Dept. Thus the graduates and Post graduate unemployed youth have demanded to fill up the vacancies; otherwise they will go for mass protest and hunger strike after March 15.
7,08,941 unemployed youths are presently in Tripura, but instead of recruiting Tripura Govt is busy to blame the Centre for not filling up vacant posts, whereas even after 90 : 10 fund sharing, Tripura Govt has least interest to fill up the vacancies under Central funded projects.
