KAILASHAHAR / AGARTALA, March 14 (TIWN): Various roads in rural Tripura remained as it is even after crores and crores of funding from the centre after Pradhan Mantri Gram Sarak Yojna.

The lifeline between Kailashahar Jila Parishad to Kailashahar Dist Hospital has left in miserable shape till day, even after bundles of demands were placed for its renovation. Every year for this road funds are sanctioning but with a temporary work the road left as it is, which turns the local people's lives miserable in that area, especially across the monsoon.

Both these areas Panchayats are rulkinbg by CPI-M, but the Panchayat Pradhan and members end by giving some false promises every times.Around 3 KM road is there left with muddy ways allover. During rainy season the suffering of students, patients & patient parties and other locals although were reported so many times, but all are in vain.Reportedly, under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sarak Tripura recived Rs. 50 crores for the year, but the lives of people here never change at all.

The condition of roads across Kailashahar are same. On Feb 13, angry masses at Kailashahar blocked road for long four hours demanding faster renovation of the road and diminishing ongoing acute water crisis. Although various seminars, Indo-Bangla summits on connectivity are conducted time to time in Tripura, but these programme ended with tremendous debates and unsolved issues. After the last summit, which was held at Pragna Bhawan at Agartala in the month of Sept. 2016 had successfully got huge publication as immediately a clash of talk held between Tripura CM and NITI Aayog members, the CM loosing all his tempers and ended by blasting the Prime Minister before foreign delegates. The summit initiated fires in the state, as opposition burnt CM’s effigy everyday following his bitter and disrespectful comment against the Prime Minister of India. But the summit which was focused on Connectivity Flow lost its ground after the summit and all non-issues became the matter of discussion either its CPI-M or oppositions.

As a result day to day suffering of common people in Tripura remained just as a fate of common people. According to the locals since 16 yrs the road was not renovated, whereas Panchayat were promising to develop the road.

Apart from that 3 points of deep tube wells are left non-functional since years. All the day to day problems have forced the local people to travel farway to manage drinking water, which is generating huge resentments among the locals.
