AGARTALA, March 14 (TIWN): Proving ‘No alliance’ among TMC and BJP, state's two majorly opposition parties have shockingly engaged in massive clashes on Monday evening, which triggered further more clashes among BJP and TMC supporters across Tripura. As the election is coming near, chances of violence, bloodsheds have increased more with this incident where women supporters had been injured before Agartala West Police Station. But for CPI-M it worked as a good news as the party members were in high tension about BJP-TMC’s alliance ahead of Assembly election. In this major clash on Monday among BJP / TMC it was cleared that more than CPI-M the oppositions are busy to fight with each other.
In the month of February, Tripura Communist party was shocked after 3 opposition parties met for alliance. An easy calculation showed that TMC and BJP’s votes together are much greater than CPI-M.
To control the increasing Modi-craze in Tripura CPI-M attempted to butter the Trinamool leaders. But in a recent move BJP’s President Biplab Deb had met TMC, Congress top most leaders and talked about ‘alliance’.

On the other hand TMC and Congress members were seen together. It was on January 30 that it was assumed that to defeat the left front party in the upcoming Assembly Election-2018, Tripura major opposition parties as BJP, TMC to align with each-other. It was also heard that the 3 regional parties of Tripura IPFT, INPT, TNC would join in this move, whereas Tripura Congress is strictly against alliance.
BJP’s Biplab Deb and Trinamool’s Biswabandhu Sen also held a meeting at Dharmanagar and following the meeting both of them said to defeat CPI-M is Tripura oppositions aim right now.
Then on Feb 1st, Congress MLA Ratan Lal Nath and BJP State President Biplab Deb held meeting.
Again on Feb 2nd TMC MLA Asish Saha, MLA Sudip Barman met Congress MLA Gopal Roy.
But the clash of Monday has once again proven that the oppositions are now busy to fight with each other, which may strengthen CPI-M’s vote banks more.
