Agartala, July 7 (TIWN): After a long chase, divers of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) finally recovered a body of class-XI student of Umakanta Academy from river Howrah near a point of Rajnagar School at 11.00 am, this morning.
Shibabrata Chakraborty, a resident of Ramnagar road no-4 went to Nitya Gopal Saha’s house at Granduce Para to join the immersion of clay idol of Bipadnashini on Sunday. Along with his friends, he went to Dashamighat for immersion around 4.20 pm on Sunday.
After the immersion, Sibabrata did not return to home. Having failed to trace Sibabrata, his friends informed the police immediately about the missing incident.
After receiving the information, a contingent of police rushed to the place of occurrence and conducted a search operation but failed to trace him on Sunday.
Later, the local divers conducted a search from 5.30 am in the morning today with an endeavour to trace Sibabrata but they have also failed.
However, with the initiative of West Agartala Police station, divers of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) led by SDPO Sadar- Rajendra Datta and OC West PS- Milan Datta conducted a 3-hour long search from 8 am, this morning.
During the prolong hunt, divers team recovered the missing student by using the motor. His floating body was found by the locals from river
