AGARTALA, July 5 (TIWN): CPI (M) has no future in national politics, expelled CPI (M) leader and firebrand leader of West Bengal Rajjak Molla said here today. Interacting with the media at the Agartala Press Club here this afternoon, Molla said that India doesn’t have the practical situation to start class struggle and establish socialism as preached by CPI (M) leaders. Flaying the CPI (M) led Left Front government in Tripura, Molla said that the state was being projected in the national media for clean governance and incorrupt political practice.

“It is only after visiting the state that I came to know that over a hundred people have died from a disease as simple as malaria. Of course malaria occurs in West Bengal and other states of India. But the government intervenes. Things are much different here in Tripura”, he said. The rebellious left leader added that investigation should be started on the infrastructure of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).

“With over 90 percent of malaria deaths reported from ADC areas, it seems there is something seriously wrong with the district council authorities”, he said. Rezzak Molla criticized Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal and said he wasn’t sure if democracy existed in the state since 2011. “We have a new government in West Bengal. We have partisan politics. I am not so sure if it can be termed democracy”, he quipped. Molla called for unified struggle against anti-people agenda based politics and said that he would continue struggle for a non-communal, non-divisive pro-people government in the country.

Asked about his ambitions ahead, the veteran politician said, “There’s two years left to go to the next state assembly election of West Bengal. Lots may happen in the meantime”. Rezzak Molla is slated to attend a seminar on issues faced by under developed communities at Agartala on Sunday.
