SIT investigation against Chit fund moving rudderless : seized computers across Rose Valley offices, but no hard-disks found; other Chit Fund groups already sold properties to public

AGARTALA, Feb 5 (TIWN): SIT investigation against Chit Fund companies are moving rudderless in Tripura as after 8 years of the scam held, the seized properties left with no proper data and records. On last Feb 2nd, the North Tripura Rose Valley property was seized by State Govt after it seized the same company’s property at Amarpur and Sadar, where the cost of the land alone worths more than crores. Apart from that other items including computers were seized. The number of computers were more than 30s, but all are in vain as the computers had no hard disks. Same the condition of other offices either at Amarpur or at Agartala. But question raised, how the hard disks disappeared from the computers ?? Why the Govt seized the property after 8 years ? Apart from Rose Valley there are many chit fund companies as Cosmic, Waris Group and many more which have been sold already to public, but the Govt never seized them. At Bagbasa (North Tripura) the Warris group had sold their 11 Kani’s property to the public already.

However, this is the way that the public were fooled by  chit fund under CPI-M Era, where they do not have right to ask where the soft data have vanished.

Then in that last Assembly, Manik Sarkar told the opposition, “……please keep patience in Chit fund case. We have to figure out the whole amount which has been looted by the chit fund companies from the common people’. But the Chit Fund groups had already washed their hands from Tripura, now will be fruitful to keep the patience?....question remains.

After the failure of Tripura Police, High Court ordered SIT to submit fresh report on the chit fund scams. But crossing the last date for submission of  chargesheet, SIT has miserably shown its capacity for investigation. Day by day the data, sources are losing but Tripura Govt is happy with the slow progress of SIT investigation.

SIT had again failed to submit chargesheet on July 31st  at High Court.  Now as a part of Next hearing where SIT’s report will depend a lot about whether CBI inquiry is held in Tripura or not.

However, it’s the state govt who can call CBI in Rose Valley case or the state govt can easily show reason behind no-need of CBI inquiry as it has SIT now. If the State Govt tell the centre that SIT is  properly investigating Rose Valley and other chit fund cases, the Centre also can not send CBI in Rose Valley inquiry. However, in later after SIT’s failure the High Court can also transfer the investigation responsibility to CBI.

In this condition when maximum chit fund groups have sold their properties to the public and the existing left without proper documents, it can be assumed what will be the status of Rose Valley case.
