AGARTALA, Jan 21 (TIWN): Question raised again about the security arrangement at Tripura’s Capital City, when a 70 year’s old woman killed brutally at her own resident on the heart of Agartala City. The incident took place at Shibnagar under East Police Station, which has created much tension among the locals there. The deceased has been identified as Jotshna Bhowmik (70), W/O-Lt Pankaj Bhowmik. The incident came to know when during morning time, her home left in locked condition from outside and following her no response in phone her grandsons came to her home searching for her. After calling repeatedly, when nobody answered from inside, the locals broke the lock and entered, but seeing the horrifying condition they immediately called the police. A police force led by Add SP Sharmishtha Chakraborty held search in the whole house, however the murder reportedly remained almost ‘clueless’.
However, nothing can be said now about the cause behind incident, said East police official while interrogating about the case.
The allegation is mainly raised against unknown robbers as she had many golden Jewellery on her neck, hands which were missing from her dead body.
But what surprises is that no trace of robbery inside the home was observed and each and every items were kept in orgnzied way includin almirah, which turned the case towards so many hidden stories, where family members also can be involved.
The lady was staying alone at here home, but her son Pushpendu Bhowmik who lives at Kolkata had been living with her for a month. But he also left home on last Tuesday. Jotshna Bhowmik also has 3 daughters but all of them are married. Thus taking the oppurtunity miscreants entered home and killed her, although the murder case's direction is obviously going towards the known persons, relatives or neighbours who must know everything about the movemnet of people inside the home.
However, her body has been sent for Post Mortem. Only after the post mortem and matching the finger prints anything can be said. But question raised about the security of the senior citizens in Tripura after this horrifying incident.
