AGARTALA, Jan 21 (TIWN): The clash of discussion among Tripura Govt and Central Govt regarding fund allocation are much prevalent since the Modi Govt came in power, either its MGNREGA fund or its SC/ ST Welfare fund. The ruling party CPI-M has also scheduled a 5 day long protest against the Modi Govt for cashless move and with MGNREGA fund increasing demand, but at the same time opposition parties are raising bundles of complaints against the Tripura Govt with various data-publishing of Central Fund’s misuse under Tripura Govt. Since the year 2014 various opposition leaders also wrote letters to PM Modi with vivid of ‘misuse of Central Funds’. However, after a time seeing that No-development actually happening in Tripura, Central also began questioning on various utilization issues with Central funds.

Also after a time, when a massive scandal was came out under MGNREGA for publishing continuous wrong reports on Man-days, then the fund under the project was slashed.

However, the attitude of the Tripura Govt is also often supporting Anti-Development. For example whereas under PMAY housing scheme Centre is providing houses with 30 square feet of full funding from Centre, the scheme remained non-utilized. Moreover, on Friday, the Central Urban Ministry launched 2 day long NE-UT meet on Housing Scheme PMAY centering on Agartala’s Prgana Bhawan Room No-1, where representatives from various states including Andaman also attended the meeting, but Tripura’s Urban Development Dept’s Principal Secretary S K Rakesh himself was absent, whereas about the scheme the District Magistrate failed to provide any assured data, which created much resentment among the Central Govt UD Chief Officials.

Under this same day a major allegation came against Tripura RD Dept. by opposition party Trinamool with details of crores and crores of Central Fund’s looting examples.

Trinamool also wrote a letter to  Central RD Minister Narendra Singh Tomar  alleging various corruptions under RD Dept.“….objective of PMAY-G in Tripura will be frustrated because the ill motive of the party in power and the administration… In SECC data base of Jubarajnagar RD Block, North Tripura the total number of beneficiary selected is 3367. But only 1036 beneficiaries have been identified those who exist in power and the remaining 2331 names are fictitious in favour of whom fund has been released by the Central Government. That means Central share of Rs. 1.30 lakh in favour of 2331 fictitious names amounting to Rs. 3030.3 lakh in one RD Block out of 58 RD Blocks is likely to be siphoned of by the party in power….”

As per Trinamool’s allegation under Juvaraj Nagar Block there are 58 Gram Panchayats, where in the name of Housing loans atleast Rs. 3030 lakhs rupees was sanctioned from the Centre, whereas among the 3367 beneficiaries, total 2331 people do not exist and their names are bogus.

However, under a single block if the corruption rate goes in that level what will be the condition of other schemes, it can be imagined.
