Agartala, June 21(TIWN): Twipra Students’ Federation (TSF) is all set to sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dr. YSR Educational foundation for free higher education for SC/ST/OBC and Minority students.Twipra Students’ Federation (TSF) in collaboration with the Dr. YSR Educational and Welfare Foundation is planning to provide free technical and medical education through government scholarship at Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh for NE students led by NESO, the general secretary of TSF- Biswajit Kalai informed it in a press conference, today.
Dr. YSR Educational and Welfare Foundation was established to develop education by giving professional admission to meritorious students who belong to ST/SC/OBC and minority communities free of cost, he said.
“The four-year bachelor degree and diploma engineering courses would offer for both the technical and medical education. The selected meritorious students would be placed in the different colleges and institutions”, asserted Kalai.
“To be illegible for the scholarship, the income of parents must be below Rs 3.5 lakh and the students should have a minimum of 45% marks in HS examination. The student will also be required to maintain 75% attendance and pass in every academic semester. The interested students can download the application form by clicking www.ysrewf.in or collect it from Gurkhabasti office. The form distribution will be started from June 24 and the last date for the submission is July 07, next. The place and time of counselling will be informed to the students through local dailies”, added Kalai.
