KAMALPUR, Jan 8 (TIWN): The life of people at remote areas still remained detached from the so-called wave of development.

The fact once again became evident at the district headquarter of Dhalai district, Ambassa. The villagers of Dabaram para under Kulai RF village panchayat remained in an awkward situation. In the village, there remained 25 Reang families.

The main burden to the villagers remained the communication. They used to reach their village from 13 mile area on Ambassa-Gandacharra road. Dabaram para remained to be 13 kilometres away from that point and they have to cover the distance on their foot. The road remained so deplorable that no vehicle could move on the road.

The village still remained deprived of electricity or drinking water like facilities. Even not a single family of those 25 families got IAY housing and dwelt on the tong houses. More importantly, they virtually have to suffer to fetch their fair price products.

Their fair price shop got situated at Mashurai para on National Highway near Geolcharra. They first used to cross the 13 kilometre distance on foot.

Then they used to reach Ambassa covering 7 kilometres. From Ambassa, Mashurai para remained at a distance of 10 kilometres. The villagers had to cover 60 kilometres to reach home with ration products. And among those 60 kilometres they used to walk 26 kilometres on foot.

Now, what would the administration explain in this matter remained the matter.
