AGARTALA, Jan 6 (TIWN): CBI investigation haunts Manik Sarkar led Tripura Govt after the oppositions held massive protests in the beginning of year 2017 and challenges to meet the Prime Minister of India 'to disclose' the Rose Valley reality of the state, Tripura Govt has now finally woke up after 8 years of Rose Valley’s inauguration in Tripura and after 6 years of banning Rose Valley properties state-wide. Via a govt notice it was told the depositors recently to submit their original documents at Agartala CID office, with the details of their deposited-savings. As a result, on Friday long lines were found before the CID office. However, whether the applicants will get back their money or not, Govt didn’t say anything about it and no assurance about the money-returning was given to the deprived people. Source said that CID will send the details to the court as well as it will be used for investigation purpose.

But question arises why till day the Govt was silent in this issue since last 6 yrs?

It has been long 6 yrs that Rose Valley was fully banned in the country since the year 2011, but the Tripura Govt always wanted to hide the scam from the eyes of CBI.

It was Trinamool Congress which fired up the Tripura Govt to take serious action against Rose Valley, after CBI began to arrest one after one TMC members at West Bengal. Seeing one by one TMC leaders as Sudip Banerjee to Tapas Paul under CBI clutches, Manik Sarkar thought it better to take some initiatives to avoid harassments.

But the main question which is raising why after so many yrs the Govt taking steps as the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) had prohibited the sale of real estate by Rose Valley in January 2011 and the state government had followed suit. In addition, all the 2,600 bank accounts of the company, which together hold cash balances of Rs 800-1,000 crore, have been frozen by the government; however, in Tripura no property was seized yet.

Guwahati  High Court also declared on 2015 that… “In the said case (WP ( C ) 401 /2013 and 413 / 2013 it was brought to the notice of SC that the chit-fund companies operating in the states of Orissa, Tripura and Assam….”, but Tripura Govt never took any initiative.

Moreover, it has been said that the govt has no intension to return the money, but it may be also just to fool the people ahead of Election. But earlier also the deprived hapless depositors were in queues and today also they are in queue, whereas the CPI-M promoters of the company have no concern about all these.

As per Assembly report last, on last 12th May, 2013, total 10 reports were sent to CBI for inquiry, among them 3 reports only belonged to the Rose Valley among them in one report was sent without any data & the rest of 2 were sent by Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 5,400’s amount. Then CBI seeing the total amount of Rs. 15,400 declined to take the case and replied this small amount will not come under CBI inquiry.

But in reality more than 97 crores were looted by Rose Valley Chit fund groups as per the data gathered from Agartala East & West Police Station. Now one can imagine what will be the whole Tripura’s status.
