BELONIA, Dec 22 (TIWN): Three days state level youth festival inaugurated by Heath Minister Badal Choudhury.

Sports Minister Sahid Choudhury also remained present in that programme.

A colorful rally was also organized through out Belonia Town area. While inaugurating State Level Youth Festival Mr Minister said ,” The centre of the festival focuses on cultural aspects and a number of other programmes covering a wide variety of activities, which not only reflect the spirit of friendship but also peace and development. Besides all this, this festival provides a nationwide exposure to the youth for the expression and fulfillment of their cultural talents and aspirations.”

With an aim to ensure peaceful completion of the Youth Festival, with the initiative of the Youth Affairs and Sports (YAS) Department. Already youth Festival was organized from Block level to State level.

The youth festival aims to propagate the concept of national integration, spirit of communal harmony, brotherhood, courage and adventure amongst the youth by exhibiting their cultural prowess in a common platform. This is done by organizing gatherings of youth across the country and encouraging them to take part in different activities.

During the festival, folk songs, folk dance, Tabla, drama, Manipuri Dance, Bharat Natiyam and many other cultural competitions had been scheduled to hold.
