AGARTALA, Dec 10 (TIWN): Councilor Mirnamoy Sen gets bail till Dec 23rd. In an immediate reaction, the opposition alleged that due to poor chargesheet filed by police the bail order was passed.

As per TMC’s allegation as he is a ruling party backed councilor, so the poor chargeshet was made. However, section 354 was lodged against him.

However, the councilor of Agartala Municipal Corporation and leader of the ruling RSP, Mrinmay Sen, was arrested on Friday for allegedly molesting a minor girl in her school in Agartala.

According to the FIR lodged by the girl’s father, also the administrator of the school, called the girl studying in 1st standard to his room and molested her on Thursday.

After returning home, the girl told her parents about the ordeal following which her father lodged a complaint this morning, he said.
The councilor, who was arrested from Indranagar area in Agartala, was booked under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012. District and session Judge Ruhidas Paul granted Mrinmay Sen interim bail till December 23.

Meanwhile, state BJP chief Biplab Deb demanded exemplary punishment for Sen.
