AGARTALA, Nov 15 (TIWN): Preparation on peak for Kartik Puja-2016, which is to be held on Wednesday.
TIWN visited Maharajganj Bazaar, where people were buying idols of Kartik. Talking to a customer he said, due to lack of cashes they are facing problems in this Kartik Puja.
‘Long lines before banks and cashless ATMs have turned this occasion into crisis-festival’, he added.
However, amidst crisis of cashes public are eager to celebrate the Kartik puja, TIWN reported.
Kartik Poornima is celebrated in many parts of the country.
Kartik Poornima is a Hindu and Jain holy festival, celebrated on the Purnima (full moon) day or the fifteenth lunar day of Kartika. It is also known as Tripuri Poornima and Tripurari Poornima. It is sometimes called Deva-Diwali or Deva-Deepawali – the festival of lights of the gods.
