Jute Mill employee gets unlawful extension

Agartala, May 30 (TIWN): A 65-year-old retired employee of Tripura Jute Mill (TJM) received unlawful extension for fourth times in the darkness of night by disobeying related rules and regulations. Secretary of Tripura Jute Mill Karmachari Mancha- Parindra Sukla Baidya informed this information through a press release today.

According to the press release, Anjan Deb Roy (65), an aged retired worker of Tripura Jute Mill got fourth term extension with effect from June 01, next disobeying all Government rules and regulations.

Here it is mentionable that extension or appointment at job is not possible without approval of cabinet.  In spite of that gang leader of corrupted group of employees of Jute Mill, Swapan Pal has sent the file for fourth time extension to newly appointed Industry Minister Tapan Chakraboty on May 5, this year.  He took this initiative keeping the dealing clerk Biswanath Bhattacharjee in dark.

The news created lot of resentment among labourers, employees, officers and other retired officers as it publicized among them. Sources said that one corrupted IAS officer who got transfer order is directly concerned in the incident. Recently the illegal activities of Anjan Debnath proved after investigation. The report will be submitted within 2/3 days.  Sources said that an employees’ organization named Officers Association lodged case on the issue seeking intervention of High Court.
