Agartala, May 27 (TIWN): With the initiative of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, state level awareness campaigns on ‘My India, addiction free India’ would be observed throughout the state from May 28 to June 29.
“Initially this campaign will tour the whole of West Tripura District for more than a month and upon successful results, we also propose to extend such campaign to other districts of the state”, said BK Kabita, In Charge of Brahma Kumaris Centre in a press conference, here today. We have chalked a plan to meet people in different schools, colleges and market places in all the villages and blocks of the district and motivate them to shun such addictions as tobacco consumptions, alcoholism, ghutka consumption etc which is harmful for their health and detrimental to their family, she added.
This campaign would be inaugurated at Light House, Brahma Kumaris Madhya Banamalipur campus around 6 pm on May 28. Manik Dey, Minister for Power and Transportation including other dignitaries would attend the programme.
BK Kabita on behalf of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya appealed to the state people to make the no addiction campaigns successful. The state people would get benefited by these campaigns, she claimed.
