AGARTALA, Aug 6 (TIWN): Renovation work at Assam-Agartala road gets momentum, with the better weather condition. Although maximum vehicles are coming via NHC, (Alternative road of Tripura) but after the renovation work is done then the vehicle will be passed smoothly 1via Assam-Tripura road.
NH-44 although is resuming but anytime the work may disrupt with rain's arrival. The kathaltali road and NH-44 both have been resumed and 300 / 400 vehicles are entering in state per day.
The issue of National Highway’s pathetic condition was observed since few decades. After the coming of the new Govt. at Assam Central Govt. released huge fund to renovate it immediately.
Tripura has also recently received Rs. 50 lakhs for temporary solution of the NH-44. Then after temporary renovation, during the dry spell the central govt. will take charge of the whole work.
Technologies are being used in National Highway to renovate the roadway. Bamboos are using which will be set below the soil, will help to stabilize the road for decades, as bamboo untouched by water becomes solid and non-damagable.
The National Highway is the sole route which connects the state to the rest of the country, has gone it paralyzed stage and reportedly, five hundreds of vehicles are standing on the route as the road has turned to slush.
But the condition of Churaibari area inside Tripura across 1.5 km is also in dilapidated condition.
