AGARTALA, Aug 5 (TIWN): A fatal accident held a Assam-Agartala National Highway leaving a person seriously injured. Presently he is admitted at GB Hospital.
On Friday, at around 2 PM at Chakmaghat, under Muguiakami near to Biswakarma Temple area the accident held.
The max-pick-up-truck bearing number TR01AB1918 met a 12 wheeler truck bearing number TR01- C1841 which was coming from Agartala to Dharmanagar.
The truck was proceeding towards Dharmanagar with FCI Go-down’s food grains.
Due to the incident Sougat Chowdhury (36), S/O-Himangshu Chowdhury, resident of Agartala Jogendra-Nagar (the Max vehicle’s driver) & his assistant-driver Sanjib Sarkar (37) was injured. Sanjib Sarkar is also from Agartala.
Getting informed via the locals the fire brigade rushed to the spot and admitted them in Teliamura Primary Hospital.
But observing the deteriorating condition of Sougat Chowdhury, doctors immediately referred him to Agartala GB Hospital.
Presently, his condition is very critical.
Police seized both the vehicles. This unwanted incident caused atleast 3 hours of road-blockade on National Highway at Telimaura.
