KUMARGHAT, Aug 4 (TIWN): The pathetic shape of Kumarghat Railway station alleges the embezzlement done by the local contractors as they have coloured the old Rail-Station to make it new.

Kumarghat Railway Station like other rail-way stations were instructed to re-construct its all places. But it has been seen that the fund was not fully utilized although NFR was the on the duty for observance, but the work was ofcourse taken cared by Tripura’s contractors.

As Dharmanagar and Agartala railway stations were given the first priority, so some other stations are yet in deplorable shape. Example is Kumarghat.

However, this could not affect the demand for railways at Kumarghat, as people are now choosing rail, which serves better than pathetic national highway and its uncertain journey fro smooth journey.

Local train is running in full wave and demand for passenger train is high although.

AS from Agartala to Silchar Kumarghat is also one of the stoppages so much gathering can be followed at there.

Huge rush of passengers were also seen on Tuesday  at  Kumarghat Rail Station.

Already, Delhi-Agartala express train has been started and now people are eagerly waiting for the Kolkata-Agartala express train to be started in state, which will reduce the flight fare for Kolkata-Agartala.

There are 12 coaches, including five general second class compartments, five chair car and two SLRs in the two trains for Agartala. Raising the hope of the people Tripura to a new heights North Eastern Frontier Railway has officially announced to start BG Passenger Trail Train in Silchar -Agartala route from 2nd May.
