AGARTALA, Aug 3 (TIWN) : Politburo member Brinda Karat on Wednesday while attending the 21st Ganamukti Parishad Convention at Khumlung criticised BJP government at the central and said BJP is only bluffing the people e and can do nothing for the development of the people.

Addressing the delegates, Brinda Karat has clearly cover up the failure  of CPI-M government and blamed BJP government for rising distress among the tribal’s in Tripura.

It is to be mentioned here that BJP came into power 2 years back and CPI-M being in power in the state for last 23 hours could not do anything in the state for the development of the tribal’s and it is seen that even in CPI-M’s rule tribal’s in Tripura continue to die due to malaria and other health issues.

During the peak hour of summer, many people in the tribal hamlets are still fighting for life against Malaria.

Inept administrators and incompetent officials of the Health and Family Welfare department of Tripura are only responsible for the malaria outbreak in the state. Before people could recover from the shock of great malaria debacle which was faced by the whole state last year people are one again under the threat of Malaria outbreak in the state.

The recent malaria outbreak shows the lacklustre attitude of the Health Department which has failed to control the malaria outbreak. It seems that they have  not learnt any lessons from the last year’s Malaria Outbreak debacles and did not bothered to spend the released amount of central fund to prepare in a better way for the next year.

All the North Eastern states usually receives huge amounts of central assistance for Health purposes but the inefficient and corrupt  local management under the state health department  leads to deplorable health status of the society.

However, the Chief Minister and Health Minister of the state should start to revamp the ailing Health Department of our state instead of making the tall claims in front of the public.

However, along with Politburo member Brinda karat and CM Manik Sarkar, MP Jiten Chowdhury and others also remained present in the program.
