KAMALPUR, Aug 1 (TIWN): The new committee of KCA headed by the popular political faces of the sub-division remained much away from gaining even some sort of resurrection as they claimed during taking the charges from almost two years ago.
The infrastructure, training, play grounds and the related issues remained almost the same leaving the matters of barbed wire fencing around KCG ground. Moreover, the game got confined within the sphere of the sub-divisional headquarter. And in all these process, the role of TCA came under scanner.
Almost two years ago, the new committee of Kamalpur Cricket Association took their charge headed by Pradip Ghosh defeated candidate for consecutive times in Nagar Panchayat from CPI-M as Secretary and Amal Majumdar as President. Recently, Amal Majumdar joined the TMC and hence he got suspended from the KCA and the Party.
But, during the last two years, the achievements of the committee remained nothing significant. The committee set barbed wire fencing around the Krishnachandra Ground but it left without lock and key and hence the cattle easily roamed in the ground. Moreover, the work remained under scanner for quality.
But, the advancement in infrastructure remained nothing important. The committee suffered due to the lack of trained scorers and scoring remained a problem. Further, the appointed trainer who used to get a healthy monthly allowance of more than 6, 000 rupees often got alleged that, he frequently used to skip the field.
Again, the accounts of KCA which got not less than 6, 00, 000 rupees yearly from TCA not remained fair. The committee also failed to spread the cricket to the village level or to the remote areas of the sub-division. In all these course, the TCA mysteriously never found keen to look into the matter of KCA seriously for the betterment of the game at the grass root level.
