UDAIPUR, July 23 (TIWN): Since 48 hours a large portion of Udaipur City is disconnected with water-supply, but there is no hurry to recover it.

Due to Udaipur-Melaghar double lane construction work the pipe lines are changing for households, but suddenly on Thursday the pipe line was cut without repairing at Ramesh Chowmuhani-Khilpara area, as a result locals are suffering hugely from acute water scarcity.

However, till now there is no respite from water crisis. Moreover, no vehicle was sent with water.  Udaipur Municipality is however alleged of many issues. That’s why during water crisis they do not provide drinking water also.

As the double-lane construction work  first people suffered from water crisis, then from telephone land-line cut and now the water scarcity has begun.

But the work is going very slowly without any organized manner so the agonies of people has no end.

In this regard, all old trees are cutting down in Udaipur in the name of double-lane construction but there is no preparation for road construction yet.

Before many years a roar of broader road construction began in Udaipur during Keshab Majumder’s era.

It was said that the whole road across Udaipur-Palatana will be larger in size and also drain will be provided on that area.

Immediately after that----all the trees which one set on both sides of the roads were cut down and the natural beauty was damaged then.

However, the de-forestation of road-side trees again started here.

Asking the locals they mentioned that the double-lane construction needs space and that is while all the tress of Ramesh Chowmuhani, Khilpara and other roads on that area are cutting down. But there is no sign of road construction preparation however. People are upset with the continuous cutting down of old trees at Udaipur.

Now the water scarcity problem is disrupting everyday lives.
