AGARTALA, July 15 (TIWN): In demand of resuming passenger service from Tripura to other states, Tripura Opposition party Trinamool Congress has placed deputation to the NFR GM H K Jaggi, and thus on Friday via Agartala (Badarghat) Station master this letter was sent to him.
Trinamool Congress said unless and until the rail-service is resumed they will continue their protest, or TMC will block rail-line after 15 days.
According to TMC, after the installation of Broad gauge line quite successfully the sufferings of a huge number of passengers who intend to travel apart from Agartala and Dhamanagar everyday still continues.
It seems that the railway connectivity presently exists properly only between Silchar-Kumarghat everyday thereby making it difficult for the passenger of rest part to travel both inside and outside the state.
Tripura is also surrounded by Bangladesh from 3 corners and the present turbulent condition therein also doesn’t permit the people of the state to reach out side via Bangladesh, and taking advantage of the situation the airline companies have sky-rocketed their prices.
So TMC has demanded for the immediate commencement of the full-fledged rail-connectivity between Agartala-Dharmanagar and also long distant destinations everyday considering the geographical location and need of the people of the state.
