AGARTALA, July 12 (TIWN): Tripura Transport Minister Manik Dey on the occasion of Kharchi inauguration-2016 said in Khayerpur (Old Agartala) that under CPI-M Ministry a rapid development has come in Tripura in last 2 decades. To indicate the so called ‘Rapid’ development of Roadway, he mentioned that this Khayepur area was almost a barren land, and people from other parts avoided to come here due to the pathetic condition of roadway. As an example Manik Dey said with an emotional tone, “I still remember my childhood days of Kharchi-Mela, when I used to come with my mother to enjoy the fair”. “That time there was no proper transport-system, and one had to pass via water-way only and many people died due to the bad condition of the transport system on that time”. He slowly came to the point and said, “The Khayerpur area is almost un-recognized in 2016 in compare to those days.

As a traveler who goes out Tripura they know how developed and advanced the transport system of Tripura”. Begging the vote of Tribals at Khayerpu he said, “Due to the proper Govt. administrative, the full Khayerpur area is now advanced here, with advance decoration and road connectivity from various sides of the town, which links Khayerpur with whole state”.

However, he also mentioned that the bad road is due to the huge population. “From Ranir Bazaar to Trinath it takes 1 hour time to pass through, but the reason is that this particular area was out of human-touch but now is full of crowd which proves that people chose to live in Peace-Full areas”.

However, at the end he also added, “The aim of any Puja is to abolish the bad person, and to bring out good things”. Thus he asked to maintain the peace there.

However, whereas the whole state is suffering due to the pathetic condition of roadway, the Ministers clamour has no end.

Whereas Ministers are roaming in AC cars, helicopters, the common people are suffering in long queues before the petrol pump. The ongoing Fuel crisis in Tripura from last 20 days has fully dried up state’s petrol pumps and initiated black marketing in various parts of the state.

‘No petrol, No diesel’ signs and long queues of bikers waiting for several hours is a common scenario in Tripura.

But on Tuesday Tripura Transport Minister claims high that under his regime the transport system converted from River-way to National Highway.
