AGARTALA, July 11 (TIWN) : Atleast 36 blocks are left without audit in Manik Sarkar’s regime in Tripura.

However, the govt. claims for massive and faster development in rural Tripura, but in actual the massive corruptions held under RD Dept. in various subdivisions has left the villages without survey also.

The works seems are going without any record and the funds are using without any calculation under Tripura RD Dept.

Reportedly, in 2015 under the govt. audit director in 19 blocks audit are done, but 36 blocks are left without audit, among them in 3 blocks govt. has done special audit. The 3 blocks are: Bishalgarh, Rupaichari and Pehcrathal.

However, surprisingly, these 3 audit spots are the most corrupted areas under RD Dept.

For example, Bishalgarh is all over popular for MGNREGA scam due to the blessings of BDO Bimal Chakraborty, whereas there are so many allegations against Rupaichari block. The entire district of South Tripura is under the grip of alleged scam of Rs 10 crore at Rupaichari Block.

It was in the year 2015, April 4 that the resent REGA workers had broken down the various equipments at Pecharthal RD Block office, complaining for moths of pending wages. Following the incident atleast Rs. 7 to 8 lakhs  had been sanctioned for the block’s repairing, but almost 1 year has been passed after the incident but the office has not yet been repaired.

Allegations are coming against the BDO Paritosh Biswash & the Engineer in-charge for embezzling the total fund. However, a signboard has already been put behind the block in the name of repairing the office but reportedly, not a single work has been done at there.

The computers which were broken have not been changed till day and moreover, the glasses of the windows which were broken have not yet been repaired. The table and other infrastructure are also left same, after the incident of 2015, but the hefty amount of fund which was allocated had been received by the then BDO and the engineer in charge.

The BDO has been transferred from Pecharthal block to Juvaraj Nagar block after the incident, which has raised question upon the role of the present govt. for taking attempts to save the BDO.

It’s to be mentioned here that it’s almost 1 year has been passed that GSG Ayyangar had joined as the Principal Secretary of RD Dept., and Tripura is flooding with awards under MGNREGA scheme, but one after one complaints are raising for various works held under MGNREGA for their poor quality of works and embezzling crores of funds.
