AGARTALA, June 30 (TIWN): AMC held Budget counter speech on Thursday. AMC Mayor Prafullajit Sinha placed vivid explanation about the expenditure from 20015 to 2016 and also placed the budget for the year 2016-17.

According the budget in the year 2016-17 the budget has been estimated as of Rs. 355500 lakhs. In the year 2015-16 it was Rs. 34500 lakhs.

Total incoming in 2016-17

1.      Revenue : 5,057.85 lakhs,

2.     Capital : 30,384.15 lakhs,

3.     Total receive thus : 35,442.00 lakhs.

The expenditure in 2016-17 was :

1.     Revenue : 5.076.69 lakhs,

2.     Capital : 30, 423.31 lakhs,

3.     Total : 35,500.00 lakhs.

However the loss was Rs. 58.00 lakhs.

AMC Mayor further explains about the facilities brought by AMC in the last year: In 2015-16 total 1.157 km of LED Lights was expanded, overhead water tank was provided in 11 places, Rs. 5,12,38 and to collect garbage from No. 40 ward’s every home, Rs. 102.22 crores JNNURM project’s development and various other facilities as library, health, NULM, Market, parking place etc etc.
