No solution of petrol/ diesel crisis yet : No sign of repairing for Heavily damaged Tripura NH-44 part

AGARTALA / DHARMANAGAR, June 29 (TIWN): The non-repaired heavily damaged part of National Highway from Churaibari to Kadamtala which is causing hindrance for plying of vehicles to is yet left without solution increasing fuel crisis inside state.

The steps which are taking by Tripura Govt. by dumping few amount of bricks over NH-44 the normal traffic on the Highway is yet to begin.

Tripura’s BJP’s President although informed the assurances were made during his persona interactions with Mr. Gadkari and Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, but ray of hope is yet to come for Tripura’s national Highway.

Alike Lowairpoa to Churaibari the condition of few kilometers stretch of the National Highway inland Tripura is also same.

NH-44 which is known as lifeline of landlocked Tripura has been extensively damaged due to PWD’s negligence, resulting petrol/ diesel crisis inside the state.

But following the ongoing crisis of fuel and food due to National Highway’s pathetic condition Tripura Govt. officials contacted with the Engineers and High Level Officials at Assam and but Assam Govt. further asked the Tripura Govt. for joint initiative in NH-44 renovation.

Sources said that Assam Govt. said that, “the Kathaltali area(under Dharmanagar) which falls inland Tripura would be recovered by Tripura Govt. so that the vehicle movement hurries up, as for national Highway always Assam Govt. is blamed, whereas Tripura’s many broken parts near Churaibari leads slow movement of vehicles.

It’s worthy to mention here that due to NH-44’s pathetic condition the fuel crisis continues to suffer the state with board of ‘No Petrol’ hanging in front of the major petrol pumps since Wednesday morning.

The LPG crisis has also hit the market already. Although atleast 50 bullets started for Tripura, but in the middle of the road, many have been paused due to the pathetic condition of NH-44, resulting acute LPG crisis in state. In black market the rate has gone to 1,200-1500/-.
