AGARTALA, June 27 (TIWN): To decrease accidents in Agartala City, with the initiative of Traffic Dept. 10 big size Mirror glasses have been launched in Agartala. However, the setting of 10 Mirror glasses will be completed within today.

Talking to DSP Traffic Banoj Bihari Das, he said, “Like other metro cities, Agartala traffic management will get a better shape with the launching of mirror glasses”.

He added, “This is however a part of trial and 10 places have been chosen for mirror-setting” including : High Court, North Gate, Airport Road, Gandighat and in 6 other places will be set within today.

“First we saw this mirror glass in 124th Btln and then getting inspiration we took pictures of that mirror glass and appealed to the DM”, said Das. “Now via AMC it has been launched”, he added.

“This mirror glass trial can be considered as a joint initiative by Traffic Dept. and AMC”, he said.

“To manage with blind turns and traffic jams and other such problems the traffic dept. has taken the initiative”, Das said. “This is almost a dream becoming true as Agartala has achieved mirror glass alike other Metropolitan Cities”, said Das.
