AGARTALA, June 25 (TIWN): The de-sheltered locals whose houses were damaged fully by Bru refugees on May 15, 2016 now living at their homes since last May 19.

Talking to Mahatme he mentioned that on May 16 all of the de-sheltered people were provide with Rs. 1,000/-, latterly they were more paid with Rs. 10,000/-. Mahatme also mentioned that more Rs. 56,000/- will be provided to the victims.

The Bru Scared Bengali Locals went back to their abolished homes but report said that the 6 families whose houses were not fully damaged they have sheltered the others who are homeless.

Mahatme added, both the communities are creating enormous pressures upon the state Govt., but Govt. will return them back the every losses  had done by Brus on that night.

Moreover, after de-sheltering them from whom, during the Bengali people’s sheltering in BBI school---Brus took away all the cattle from the households. Govt. however, assured to give them back new cattle.

While, was asked about the present status of the communal clashes there, Mahatme mentioned that the situation is presently under controlled.

The arson was followed suicide when a tribal man living in a refugee camp at Kanchanpur, 175 km north from Agartala, after he was allegedly beaten up by locals. Bhriguram Reang, 36, allegedly committed suicide, after he was beaten up by local people who accused him of catching fish from a pond without seeking permission from the owner.

Asking about the repartition of Bus he said, “Right now there is no progress as  ‘After the meeting with MHA we are pushing the Mizo Govt. to take hurried actions’. He added, ‘Just last week I talked to Mizo Govt. in this regard, and the Govt. there is sending letters to the central Govt. for Grant’.

‘As soon as the Grant will come the Mizo repartition will be proceeded but right now there is no Progress’, said DM.

Brus are also coming in forms of dangerous terrorists destroying the peace of Tripura, especially North Tripura. At Kanchanpur  Bru refugee camp, along with Garg---Snadeep Mahatme, North DM, Punit Agarwal Secretary of Re-habilitation Dept. had been present and held meeting with Brus for the development of the Mizo-repartition issue, but Home Ministry officials could not resolve the issue as Bru are strict about their demands from Mizo Govt.
