AGARTALA, June 24 (TIWN): TMC fulfills all the essential criteria to be declared as the state opposition party against CPI-M, says MLA Asish Saha. Talking to TIWN correspondent, MLA Asish saha said that TMC fulfils all the criteria to be declared as the state opposition party. All the constitutional provisional are completed but rest of the decision to be taken by Speaker of the Assembly Ramendra Chandra Debnath, added Saha. It is to be mentioned here that all the 6 MLA’s who have recently joined TMC after quitting Congress held meeting with the speaker and expressed their willingness for joining TMC. He further said that their meeting with the speaker was successful and now he is hopeful that TMC will be declared as the state opposition party. However, as all the members have given same statements regarding their own will for joining TMC, MLA Asish Saha is hopeful that they will get the status of state major opposition party against CPI-M.

It is to be mentioned here that the verification of the TMC leaders are completed and now notice will be forwarded to PCC Chief Birajit Sinha for his statement regarding their quitting Congress, said Tripura Assembly speaker Ramendra Chandra Debnath.

It is to be mentioned here that like this away Assembly speaker held discussion with all the 6 candidates of TMC who recently joined TMC after quitting congress.

Former Congress leader Sudip Roy barman earlier handed over a resignation letter and similarly assembly speaker accepted their resignation. They have given official resignation from the party and they are have officially join TMC in presence of TMC VP Mukul Roy.

However, it is to be mentioned here that Dilip Sarkar and Pranajit Singha Roy were not present during handing over the letter to speaker but have expressed their willingness to join TMC over the phone to Assembly speaker.

It is to be mentioned here that Reportedly, PCC Chief Birajit Sinha suspended Former opposition leader Sudip Roy barman and former President of Tripura Pradesh Youth congress Sushanta Chowdhury from the party after they have resigned from their post raising voice against the alliance with left front.Former Opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman and Tripura Pradesh Youth congress Sushanta Chowdhury have already resigned from the party and in their resignation letter they have mentioned that the resignation letter has been submitted in protest of the unethical alliance between Congress and the Left Front in West Bengal Assembly Election.

 

Besides, they also mentioned that with this alliance the party has compromised with its values to form this alliance only to grab power and the hopes of the people of Tripura.
