AGARTALA, June 24 (TIWN): Tripura BJP President Biplab Deb on Wednesday told TIWN that the state BJP will take the scam of Pradhan Mantri Awash Yojna to the central Govt. as there are massive negligence and corruptions under the Municipalities.
‘There are so many ways to concern the people about the housing loan but the Municipal is going as per their wishes’, said Deb.
‘Also there are Online process by which a person can go through the housing process, but CPI-M is confusing the mass to benefit party cadres’, said Deb.
Municipality is taking the signature of households who already have house, but in return they are not giving any duplicate/ receive copy of it. The question arises, if the loan is given to the person, how s/he will know the matter—doubt remains.
However, in this regard BJP will take the issue to the central Govt. as CPI-M directly looting the people and depriving a section of people here, said Biplab Deb.
It’s to be mentioned here that the number of Homeless people in Tripura (as per Govt. data) is however 26,917 nos. The PWD Minister Badal Choudhury said, ‘Govt.’s target is to provide homes to the homeless within next 2 years under Indira Awash Yojna’.
IAY has remained under scanner as many time allegations raised against the Panchayats for depriving a section of people and providing homes to the CPI-M cadres, who already have houses. It’s worthy to mention here that in 2015 it was disclosed that a group of false Indira Awas Yojana beneficiaries were selected by PRI Bodies under South Tripura District.
In this situation when PM Modi lodged Indira Awash Yojna, Municipal started massive corruption into it.
Credit Linked Subsidy, is a scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Low Income Group (LIG). The beneficiary would be eligible for interest subsidy on purchase/construction of a house.
