CM Manik Sarkar inaugurates felicitation program at Sukanta Academy

AGARTALA, June 22 (TIWN): CM Manik Sarkar on Wednesday inaugurated the felicitation program at Sukanta Academy organised by the alumni association of Bodhjung HS School for the rankers from Bodhjung HS School in the recently concluded TBSE HS examination.

It is to be mentioned here that 3 students from Bodhjung HS School have grabbed their position in the top ten lists from different streams.

However, Tanmoy Banik from Science, Joydip Pal from Arts, and Rahul Mazumder from Commerce department have secure position in the merit list of the recently concluded   TBSE HS examination 2016.

The school authority, Alumni association along with others have awarded them with awards and scholarship.

The HS examination, conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE), was conducted in the state on March 2 in 359 schools.

A total of 25,928 students have appeared the TBSE HS examination including 11,686 female students and 14,282 male students.

Apart 172 disabled students have also appeared the examination.

Tripura Board of Secondary Education was established in the year 1973 by an Act (Tripura Act.No. 12).

However, the board has started its functioning from January 1 in the year 1976.

It is to be mentioned here that earlier when the Tripura Board was not established all the High and Higher Secondary Schools located in Tripura state were affiliated with the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.

The Secondary education is expected to continue till March 28 of 2016. Besides, the Madrasa Madhyamik Pariksha Schedule has also begun from March 3 and is expected to continue till April 4 of 2016.

However, the scores achieved in these exams are considered very important for getting into university, getting into professional courses or training programmes, and even possibly in finding employment.
