Poor education system and political dominance in schools leads to poor results in the TBSE Madhyamik

AGARTALA, June 3 (TIWN): Only because of the poor education system and political dominance in the school have lead to such poor structure of results in the TBSE Madhyamik. TBSE has announced the academic result for 2014-15 Madhyamik sessions on Thursday. In the last year whereas the score was 66.41 % this time it has been come down more with 66.14 %.

Keeping aside the books and studies the school students are made to hold rallies under the banner of SFI and students union in the state to raise voice for political campaigns.

Although somewhere Tripura Chief Minsiter Manik Sarkar blamed the BJP govt. for violating the history of India by changing the curriculums in schools, but under Manik Govt.’s era, school students of Tripura are forced to attend political rallies during school hours giving least importance to the studies.

Innocent students, who would hold books in their hands, have been forced to hold CPM’s banners and to attend in political rallies, whereas the real meaning of those banners they might not understand yet.

It seems that students here have no Educational rights, but they have to follow the long queues rallies arranged by SFI.

However, whereas students here are protesting against the problems of outside, on the other hands here students have no freedom to protest against the deplorable condition of schools.

Tripura’s schools have no infrastructure, not sufficient number of teachers, no quality education, but Govt. here is carefree to release the students for political rally by shutting down the classes.

Our ministers claims that, schools are supposed to be the temples of learning, but the average primary educational institution in rural Tripura is dingy, dilapidated place without access to electricity, toilets and with too few teachers. True, just having great school infrastructure is not sufficient to improve learning outcomes, but it is certainly a necessary condition. The learning outcomes are abysmal in the schools of Tripura as students are seen in political rallies other than in classes.

However, it is to be mentioned here that the government is busy in opening school but no intervention in the name of education provided to the students. In most of the schools of the rural areas it is seen that, poor condition has hit the education system of the school.

The tall claims made by the ministerial bench authority to make the state 100 percent literate turns bleak with the deplorable condition of the schools in various interior parts of the state.
