KAMALPUR, May 27 (TIWN): Would it be treated true development or another example of planned deprivation-might be the subject matter of popular political debate.

But it became sure that the Indo-Bangla border sub-division and one of the oldest sub-division of the state, Kamalpur, got all set to receive another jolt in coming future. And it happened as the District Court got all set to seat at Ambassa.

 It also remained a fact that, the local leaders of CPI-M whom the supporters and party workers claimed to have some herculean power and ability, failed to do even a bit in favor of true development of Kamalpur.

After the setting of separate High Court for Tripura the setting up of the District Courts became a must.Especially, the District Court of Kailasahar under the then North Tripura district remained as the District Court for Dhalai, North and Unakoti districts.

 It was so as all the three districts once was the one North Tripura district. In 1995, Dhalai district was separated from North Tripura and Unakoti District was formed in 2012. But till date the District Court at Kailasahar got busy in handling the cases of all the three districts.

No doubt, it created much problem for the commoners as well as for the Judiciary. From this view, the first Chief Justice of Tripura High Court emphasized on the formation of separate District Courts.

In his recommendation, the Chief Justice mentioned Kamalpur as the most suitable place for the setting up of the District Court as Kamalpur already got the experience and infrastructure of the judicial system up to the ADJ level.

Common people of long deprived Kamalpur which remained deprived of modern education facility like Kendriya Vidyalaya, health facility like modern and well equipped hospitals and earning facility for the unemployed youths also embraced the decision. But, the state government chose

Ambassa as it remained to be the district headquarter and did it much against the popular will. When commoners and different political parties staged protest against this decision, the party cadres threatened and attacked on them. The two MLAs and other party leaders failed to do the bit in favor of Kamalpur.

And after the beginning of the District Court at Ambassa, the Additional District and Session Judge Court would also be shifted there, which the party leaders claimed to be remained at Kamalpur.

Now, when everything got set for the beginning of District Court at Ambassa, it started to become clear to the party leadership that it would cause a great negative impact to Kamalpur. But they hardly got any courage to remedy this. Moreover, the future of Kamalpur got darkened due to the inefficiency of the so-called political hyper active leaders.
