Two women killed in Udaipur, 1 arrested : floating bodies recovered from a pond, SDPO talks to TIWN, police unable to identify the bodies

UDAIPUR, May 26 (TIWN): 2 dead bodies recovered at Udaipur subdivision on Thursday morning.
Their bodies were found floating on a pond near their at Bhuiyapara village under South Chandrapur area, near Matabari.

Police has already arrested one in allegation of murder named Biplab Majumder.

Talking to the SDPO of Udaipur Ratan Das he said, “Nothing is clear in this moment, one has been taken in detention however, and police is trying to identify the bodies”.

Another accused named Santa Majumder, W/O-Biplab Majumder is presently under treatment at Udaipur Hospital.

‘The identity of the deceased are yet unknown to police’, said Das.

Bodies have been sent for post mortem.

It’s to be mentioned here that day after day crimes are increasing in Udaipur, especially in Chandrapur area.

The Chandrapur area has become the centre for crime against women especially. Dowry deaths, murders, minor rape---Chandrapur area has undergone all these crimes.

Not only in Udaipur, but recovery of unidentified bodies are very common across the state. People here no more feel safe during night time, and remains under terror from various kinds of miscreants.

Apart from other subdivisions, the main capital city is not also under peace. Although it’s claimed that Agartala town is kept under high security during night hours for the safety of the public but theft and robberies have still remained as everyday issues in state.

Tension prevails at Udaipur after the murder incident.
