AGARTALA, May 25 (TIWN): Tripura State Govt. undertaking EPF Pensioner Association via a press meet on Wednesday criticized the state Govt. for neglecting the pensioner’s demands since long back.

As per the rule, although they deposited Rs. 500/- per month, but following the central govt.’s rule more Rs. 500/- was automatically deposited in their bank account, as a result at the end of their job-span; the pensioners were to be benefited with a hefty amount of money.
In the year 1995 their pension scheme was converted from CPF to EPF. On that time, they were not given any option, which caused huge losses for them.
However, from that time they were fighting for their pension rights.
But asking the CM of Tripura and Finance Minister they asked them to meet the Finance secretary for readdressal of grievences.
But the presence Finance secretary GSG Ayyanagar never bothered to think about their issues, as a result resentment has been brewed among the pensioners against the Govt. Departments.
