AGARTALA, May 24 (TIWN): To prevent the illegal Bangladeshi immigration, Assam’s new Chief Minister has promised to seal the Indo-Bangla border, as it’s very necessary to prevent outsiders’ illegal intrusion into the state to secure its people.
But another Northeastern state Tripura which is under the rule of CPI-M since 22 year, Govt. here has kept its border open wide inviting more border crimes.
Whereas illegal intrusion and border unwanted incidents are so much frequent due to the Indo-Bangla unfenced border, the border fencing work has been almost stopped here and going in a Turtle’s speed across state.
In Belonia area, PWD Minister playing too much with Muhuri Char sentiment as Badal Choudhury’s hometown is Belonia. But Minister might have forgotten that the safety of people is much more necessary than his personal sentiments.
When central Govt. took initiatives to fence Tripura’s border Badal Choudhury created much problems in central govt.’s fencing project and claimed that the land demarcation which was done by central govt team, was wrong.
Not only in South District but Tripura’s every corners have scopes for illegal intrusion for the Bangladeshis and other miscreants or terrorists.
But the scenario may be different for Assam, as BJP leader Sarbananda Sonowal takes oath on Tuesday as the first BJP CM in Assam.
Reportedly, Union Minister and Assam's new chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal, will take the decision to seal the border with Bangladesh to prevent infiltration of illegal immigrants within this Week.
