AGARTALA, May 21 (TIWN): The long awaited TBSE HS (+2) science division results were finally declared on Saturday morning through a formal press conference organized by the board. TBSE Board President Prof. Mihir Deb declared the TBSE Result for class 12th science on 21st May through a press communiqué on Saturday. A total of 3319 candidates appeared the TBSE HS(+2) examination from different schools and a total of 2702 passed the examination, said TBSE Board President Prof. Mihir Deb in a press meet on Saturday morning. He further said that this year it is for the first time that TBSE board has announced the HS (+2) science stream results early for the benefit of the students of the state.

Keeping in mind the continence of the students to appear for the higher studies and for applying different institutes and colleges TBSE board has taken the decision to declare the results early. 

However, on Saturday results for the science division was declared and the results for the Arts and commerce stream will be declared in the coming days by the first week of June. This year, the Tripura Board Higher Secondary Examination for class 12th students was conducted in the month of March - April 2016. The coveted TBSE 12th HS Exam began on 2nd March with English language paper and concluded on 9th April with Arabic language paper.

Since the completion of TBSE HS Exam, students have been patiently waiting for the declaration of TBSE +2 Stage Result 2016. Like previous years, this year also the candidates also check their provisional results through websites like www.tbse.in,www.tripura.nic.in, www.tripuraresults.nic.in, www.tripuratoday.com and www.tripurachronicle.in.

It is to be mentioned here that Tripura board school education is known as TBSE. Every year there are large numbers of students who appear for the examination for both class 10th and 12th.Tripura board of secondary education was established in 1973, under the act known as Tripura board of secondary education act, 1973 as passed by Tripura legislative assembly. The board started its functioning from 1st of January 1976.

The board is responsible for in framing rules and regulations required to run the university board, syllabus or curriculum and other necessary guidelines that are responsible for smooth and active conduct of the business board. Before all these moves, the high and higher secondary schools of Tripura came under the West Bengal board of education.

This affiliation under the West Bengal board did not result in providing education to the entire lot. Soon after the setting up of Tripura board, examinations were conducted under the same. After the affiliation, the board of education decided to adopt the syllabus of central board of education for Tripura Board Madhyamik and higher secondary examinations.
