AGARTALA, May 21 (TIWN): Tripura’s political scenario is likely to get a change after the deceleration of poll result in west Bengal and Assam. It can be said that change is Tripura is obvious after BJP has entered in the NE eastern states along with TMC making its grounds in Tripura. The much talked CPI-M and congress alliance has now drowned both the parties making a way for the BJP and trinamool to make their grounds in the left ruled state. To fight against Mamata in west Bengal, the CPI (M), in an effort to form a secular and democratic alliance against the Trinamool Congress (TMC). Apart this alliance was a question to the society as there can’t be alliance where there is no similarity. Both CPI-M and congress has different ideology and strategy. On the other hand it appears that Congress appeared to be losing grip of its role as opposition from Tripura where BJP is making inroads even as the Left firmed its hold in Tripura winning majority of the seats in both of the recently concluded election municipal as well as village committee election.

Wherever the Congress has won, the margins have either been very narrow or drastically cut down as compared to previous elections.

While the Congress tally came down in the election, the BJP candidates emerged as giant killers defeating the main opposition party state and bagging the second position into their account.

However, the election results in west Bengal and the new entry of BJP in power at Assam  is likely to impact the status of the upcoming Tripura assembly election scheduled to be held on 2018.

The Congress appeared to be losing grip of its role as opposition from Tripura where BJP is making inroads even as the Left firmed its hold in Tripura winning majority of the seats in both of the recently concluded election municipal as well as village committee election.

So many corruptions has hit the state in RMSA, MGNREGA and even in Agriculture. But why has the Congress being the opposition party of the state has not made any PIL in the High Court demanding CBI probe in these scams till now?  It is alleged that only because of the behind the curtain relationship between CPI-M and Congress, the party has remained silent over the years in the state.

But the very truth is that if the present trend continues, Congress will again face defeat and a downfall in next Assembly election. Unless the Congress Leaders, who are honest and have good image are not given the charge, Congress will never bounce back in Tripura.
