AGARTALA, May 20 (TIWN): Defying all negative campaigns launched by CPI-M and Congress and simultaneously encouraged by a section of media led by ABP group Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool Congress returned to power with absolute majority with landslides defeat of CPI-M and Left Front. Thus , once again Mamata Banerjee has proved that the at the present situation no political party in West Bengal can't present the least challenge against her . And the result of the poll clearly shows that CPI-M and Left parties votes reduced considerably compare to the vote percentage of 2014 Lok Sabha Poll. In the Lok Sabha poll in 2014 Left Parties in West Bengal got29 % votes but this time they have just managed to secure27 % votes a reduction of 2%. In this election CPI-M has emerged as the biggest loser in West Bengal. But in Bengal CPI-M has ultimately become the third party with the Congress certain to retain Opposition party status . Among the top loser in the Left camp is the Leader of Opposition cum CPI-M's much hyped Chief Ministerial Candidate Suryakanta Mishra from the Narayanpur Assembly Constituency.

With this defeat CPI-M led Left Front has practically lost its credibility among the voters with BJP emerging as an alternative with 3 seats this time compared to the lone seat that the party won in bi-election 

 After the landslides victory of TMC Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee congratulated the people West Bengal in her so popular term " Maa Mati Manush ". Quite significantly Mamata Banerjee categorically mentioned ," Now its time to look after Tripura. Tripura needs to be treated now . " This defeat has certainly weakened the Bengal lobby of CPI-M in the Central Committee  and Politburo . It has also been viewed as the victory of the  most influential and hardliner Prakash Karat lobby . Going against the Bengal lobby and Sitaram Yechury CPI-M made an expected and remarkable come back in Kerala .

One of the interesting fact that came out from West Bengal poll is that CPI-M and Left party supporters cast their votes in those seats contested by Congress . But from the vote percentage it is clear that common Congress workers and supporters did not cast their votes in favour of Left party candidates . This means that CPI-M made a great blunder in forming alliance with the Congress without having any practical idea about the ground reality . Instead of having any organization CPI-M depended on media campaigns like sting operation of Narada scam , Shardha scam as well as flyover collapse issue that did not have any impact on the common people .

Meanwhile TMC's massive win in West Bengal will surely give a new dimension to Tripura politics with CPI-M's 'Honest and Mr White ' CM Manik Sarkar is certain to face tough challenge . Very soon TMC will launch sharp campaign against the misrule and corruption of CPI-M . Already  most of the office bearers of Congress have resigned from their posts and they are almost certain to join Sudip Roy Barman. After the declaration of poll results Sudip Roy Barman congratulated TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee over phone. Sudip also made it clear that on the 27th of May he will go to Kolkata and  attend the Oath Taking Ceremony of Mamata Banerjee led TMC  gov't . An MLA in the rebel group told TIWN over phone ," It is not yet decided how many of us will attend the Oath Taking Ceremony but surely we will attend the programme. "

Reacting to the much hyped merger with TMC , the MLA  remarked ," The final decision in this matter is likely to be taken within two or three days. And we will discuss with TMC leadership in West Bengal to finalize the date . " It is learnt that on 27th of May rebel Congress workers will organize rallies in all the Sub-Divisions in Tripura under the banner of TMC to celebrate TMC victory . "
