AGARTALA, May 13 (TIWN): The wet weather created some dangerous driving conditions on Friday. Two minor accidents at different places in Agartala city lead to damage of property.
Two cars bearing number TR 01 D2825 and TR 01 E0669 meet accident due to slippery roads at Bolagiri ashram road and Gowali basti area road.
It is alleged that due to the slippery roads after rain accidents took place at different spots. However, there is no report of injury but the cars were entirely damaged in the accident.
It is alleged that due to the slippery roads and thin black carpeting the roads has turned slippery after the rain.
Replete with deep pits and pot holes, the city road crossing through college road area has turn into an accident prone zone. Similar is the condition of other city roads which has broke down drastically due to ill maintenance and lack of maintenance in the city by the concerned department.
Strewn with upto one feet ditches, if the bad condition of the road here is a resulting in jerking of knees to the two-wheeler drivers, the risk of four wheelers is toppling in these ditches always run high.
Expressing concern and shock on the condition of roads here, people fear of dreadful accidents as at any moment accidents can happen and led to death.
At every yard or so there are deep pits and potholes dangerous for vehicle driving, complained a localite. Erosion of pre-mix is seen here and there and no one can drive safely and smoothly on these roads.
Regretting the poor condition of the roads, which was posing danger to life and property, has become daily issue these days in Tripura.
