Dist Disaster Management Authority asked Tripura’s various departments reason behind not submitting repots within May 31st—including AMC, PWD, TSECL GM

AGARTALA, May 6 (TIWN): District Disastrous Management Authority(DDMA) held discussion meet at DM Office on Friday with all levels of Tripura high officials from Police Dept. to DMs and ask them to submit the plan for 2016-17, on the basis of which DDMP(District Disastrous Management Plan) will be updated through out the year.

During the meeting it was said that out of 33 Stakeholder Department Contingency Plan on Disastrous Management from the following 11 Stakeholders have not been received as yet although the deadline crossed on 31st March,2016. The 11 Stakeholders are : 1. SP West, 2. The Commissioner AMC, 3. The Director of Elementory Education, 4. The Co, 195th Bn BSF, 5. Sp Commn. 6. ARD Dept, 7. The JTC West Tripuira, 8. SE, RD 1st Circle 9. BSNL, 10. SP Traffic, 11. Dy Director Agriculture. Department further asked them to submit their plan within today or next 3 days.

Disaster Dept authority further asked AMC, SE, PWD(R&B) AGMC, BSNL, ILS Hospital, the GM TSECL, ARD Dept.  and few other depts. to submit their IDRN portal information within next 3 days.

Apart from that including Education Dept. many other depts as Forest Dept., Traffic, PWD, BSNL and more 25 departments were asked to submit details about their plans including the name of the team leaders.

A draft District level contact diary for the year 2016-17 has been prepared on the basis of information received from various departments.

However, it has been said during the meeting that the disaster related equipment available with all Stakeholders may be periodically checked up by the concerning Dept. to ensure the proper functioning of the projects.

The meeting further asked SDM, Sadar / Jirania / Mohonpur and District Forest Officer West Tripura Dist the reason behind not submitting the name of the wood-cutters, tools/weapons, equipments of the ongoing work, which they were asked to submit earlier.

However, many other loopholes in the working progress was identified during the meeting and it was said that-----All the SDMs are requested to send the daily situation report positively by 2 PM daily.
