AGARTALA, April 10 (TIWN): Kalyan Ashram on Sunday organized State Women Conference at Melarmath.

During the programme it has been mentioned that all across the country there are 32 organization of Kalyan Ashram. Besides, it has been running 18, 164 service scheme in 12, 828 spot all across the country.

However, it has been further mentioned that the organization deals with providing education to the backward families through establishing primary and secondary school in the necessary areas.

Besides, the children who are deprived of various facilities and therefore unable to get education, the organization has established hostel at 181 places in the country.

However, a total of 6112 boys are residing in the hostel and continuing with their education. Besides, in 44 girl’s hostel a total of 1659 girls are residing and pursuing education.

The organization also takes care of the health service by conducting health camp in various places. The organization runs a total of 66 regular health centre and 130 weekly health centre.

Mentioning about the journey of the Kalyan Ashram, the members said that Kalyan Ashram started it journey in Tripura in the year 1979 through establishing a hostel for the needy.

The name of the first hostel built under the organization was Baba Goriya Hostel at Taidur Bari under Sepahijala District.

Besides, they also mentioned that along with the nation, the organization is also making its root strong at Tripura aiming to help the needy people in the state.
