AGARTALA, March 30 (TIWN): Demanding to take action against five local goons, the residents of college Tila area on Wednesday jointly placed deputation to police headquarter.

It is to be mentioned here that the locals under the umbrella of Naba Bigyan Club placed deputation to Superintendent of police (SP) and asked to take immediate action against the accused.

However, placing deputation the locals alleged that 5 people identified as Gautam Chakrborty, Swapan Chakraborty, Anjan Chkraborty, Ashis Chakraborty, and Durjati Chakraborty are continuously disturbing the peace and tranquillity of the area and is creating disturbance in the area.

The localites further stated that march 24 last the goons have attacked a resident of the area with sharp weapon without any reason and left the family members seriously injured. Only to prove their power in the area they keep on attacking the local residents without any reason.

Although police complaints is lodged against them but no action is taken so far.

However, the loacalites further complained that all the accused are brothers in relation and keeps on moving around with sharp weapons in a broad day light and threatens people unnecessarily. The people furthers stated that it has become problematic to move in the area.

Demanding to raise action against the accused, the loacalites under the umbrella of Naba Bigyan Club placed deputation to SP at PHQ.

This is not for the first time. Many people are attacked by the goons and no action was taken by the police. The localites condemned the cowardly act and if no action is taken then they will raise further agitations.
