Tripura’s first flyover construction: Safety needs to be given priority

AGARTALA, March 22 (TIWN): With an aim to meet the deadline for the completion of Tripura’s first flyover, the construction agency is carrying out the work in full fledged manner.

Speaking about the work progress, earlier an official source mentioned that the agency is trying to complete the work as soon as possible. Besides, he also mentioned that the work will be continuing during the rainy season as well.

Stressing over the work progress during the rainy season, it has been mentioned that during the rainy season if the workers are unable to work on the site than they will do any other work related to the completion of the work but the work will not be suspended due to rain.

Discussing about the details, the official mentioned that if the level of rainwater increases from a concern level than it may create obstruction in the construction work.

Besides, it has been mentioned that if any problems comes in the construction work than the workers will be doing the other works which can be possible during that time but the work will continue.

Although the state government has taken the initiative to construct a flyover to curb the traffic jam but it is seen that traffic chaos is rising in an alarming rate.

It has been observed that every time a huge chaos is witnessed with vehicles blocking the road and creating harassment for the public who has been move for work daily.

Apart from the construction work of the fly-over, unruly attitude of CITU leaders is also responsible for leading to this traffic jam.

Day after day even after strict instruction of the department to commute passengers from the Nagaerjala stand, the drivers still continues to load and unload passengers on the main road resulting traffic chaos in the city.

Reportedly, work is going in full fledged at the Bordowali and Nagerjala area.
